Forever gone, but never forgotten

Everyday when Jeremy comes home from school, he comes down to the studio to give me a hug and kiss hello and then proceeds to say hello to Mia...

Today, after his usual routine and not long after I told him it would have been Mia's Birthday, he returned and quietly slipped a little note by where Mia lives on on mantel, and scurried off.

*speechless*

Happy 12th Birthday Mia

We Miss You

Today is what would have been Mia's 12th Birthday... A Taurus-Tiger like her Mummy :)

Happy Birthday to me! Universal Studios & 4 cakes!

My Singapore homies ( Girl no.6 taking the pic!)

So it was my birthday last week.... Spent the weekend in Singapore, ate LOADS, went to an art exhibition, visited Universal Studios, had loads of fun with great friends, spent special family time on my return and had loads of cake...

Make that 5 cakes as you will soon see

YES it's strange that my birthday celebrations always seem to last a week *coughs*. Here it all is in pix

Whilst strolling around Ion on Orchard, we wandered into a gallery featuring art pieces from China. And yes, as there was no signage, I did take the liberty of snapping some shots until I got the back of my hands slapped *naughty girl*.

Cool art though

Names that have been thrown around to do the job include Eric Kupper (who did a remix of Starlight) & The Bassmonkeys.

AVIMA 2010 Win for Best Pop Song

"A Minute After Midnight" bags the AVIMA (Asian Voize Independent Music Award)
for
Best Pop Song ! (You can listen to it on the music player in the side bar)

I got news of this on the same night I was following tweets re: AIM17 whilst away in Singapore.

With my Birthday falling on the next day, the news came as a wonderful birthday present and took me back to 2008 when I won my first award, the
Best Local English Album for my debut album "Eclecticism" - when the announcement for that came out on my birthday itself!

I am truly blessed and would like to say a huge THANK YOU to my team consisting of my Manager (& big Sis) Marinna Indot, Sham Kamikaze (Arranger) & Studio 21; as well as the international Judges of AVIMA, Siva Chandran and all of you who voted for "A Minute After Midnight"

Reminiscing further.... thinking back to a full page article in the UK's newspaper The Sunday Express back in 1997, on the release of my debut single "Window", when I first dabbled in the music business (I was then part of a duo) ...

*GULPS*

Here's the video!
