Official Launch Party for Envie on Changkat 15 Oct 09

Envie Lounge (which is the one on the corner as you approach the row of nightspots on Changkat) finally had its official Opening party despite being open now for a few months. The place has most certainly built a HUGE following that take their partying VERY seriously

I was particularly excited to use my newly 'BLING'ed headphones for the first time

Walked in on a FULL house !!! :D

What a great vibe, superb crowd !

Midnight welcomed our very own Joe Flizzow's big 3-0 birthday and that gave me the cue to feed this party-hungry crowd with a spin on things - for the first time in Envie - a LIVE PA

Thanks guys! I saw many of you sing along to "STARLIGHT" which did me very proud :)

Highlight of the night? Getting my own podium dancers who were volunteered revellers from the dancefloor ;)
Sorry for the absence of images but censoring imperative due to explicit nature of photos hehehehehe....

A big thanks to everyone who came and made the night a massive success and a big shout out to my mates who came to support - u know who u are...

Joke of the night? My mates claiming to be GROUPIES (see below)

Girl Talk

As i don't really like wearing make-up, I am extremely fussy about what make-up I do use. I'm not particularly good at applying it myself but despite that (and years of instruction from my big sis) I have had some friends complement my application of make-up. Some have gone as far as to ask me to teach them... to which I've responded by laughing out loud!!!

Thought I'd share some of my favs with you:

Compact powder by STILA
Lipstick by MAKE UP FOR PROFESSIONALS
Gloss by LIP FUSION
Eyeshadows by MAC (they are THE BEST)
Liquid eye liner by BOBBI BROWN

Key items for me are:

Shimmer by MAC - Mineralize Skin Finish
Mascara by YSL - Volume Effet Faux Cil

I'm not one for trying to products especially since make-up is not one of my favourite things in life BUT i feel compelled to share with you a product new to me:

RIMMEL London's SEXY CURVES MASCARA

This doesn't mean I've given up on my darling YSL, it just means I now have a more affordable option at at nearly 50% of the cost!

I generally don't like waterproof mascara's as I find them impossible to remove. Well guess what... u can get the eye make-up remover by Rimmel London to take care of that problem! It does exactly what it says on the bottle. Check out more of their products here

Most discerning make-up wearing women (& men) will find that most 'waterproof' mascaras DO smudge - I have found that this particular product does NOT.

It's got a serious (if not scary-looking) brush that has 1 layer to curl & separate ur lashes, with another layer solely responsible for creating more volume... well that's what I've been told, but frankly speaking it's just really nice to apply, gives long-lasting wear, comes in a pretty purple package and makes my eyes look LUVERLY :)

At under RM40 - it's a bargain - and you can get it at Watson's

Added Bonus? You can go around bragging that u use the same mascara as Kate Moss

I miss London *sigh*

-----------------------------

I'm playing the opening DJ set for celebrity DJ SAM YOUNG this Saturday at the opening of new YTL nightclub hot spot ROOTZ which is located on the rooftop of Lot10 ... gotta go shop for an outfit!!!

So I was thinking of going hunting - mix things up a bit - gonna check out M Store @ Gardens.

Girlie activities

tee hee hee

And to finish off, since we're on this topic - you must check out this musical genius who goes by the name of GIRL TALK here - gives a whole new meaning to reviving classic tunes from 60s onwards and mashups.

I guarantee 100% satisfaction to your ears

EuroTrip 09 in pictures - Part 6 - 24 hours in Amsterdam

Tweeting from Amsterdam.... no wonder i returned home to a MASSIVE phone bill! Follow my tweets here

Lemme see.. how would a describe Amsterdam in a few words?

Clean
Friendly
Busy (Motor vehicle, Bicycle, Tram & Human traffic)
Hectic
Compact yet not
Interesting Architecture
Canals
Tree-lined
Cobbled streets & alley ways
Tolerant

This is the oldest church in the centre of the city... and it faces the 'Ladies of the night' windows which we were advised NOT to photograph. A stone's throw away is a creche that some of these working women use for their children, while they see clients. If that's not acceptance and tolerance, I don't know what is...
THe (IN)famous Bulldog Cafe chain
I loved the architecture there. You'll find that the city centre's buildings are all pretty narrow and I learned the reason for that being that in past times, taxation was calculated based on the width of the building in which people resided ie. the wider the building the wealthier the owner!

EuroTrip 09 in pictures - Part 5 - O2 Wireless Music Festival

For me, the highlight of the O2 Wireless festival which was held in Hyde Park  was Sneaky Sound System. Their electro pop dance tunes really come to life when performed on stage with Miss Connie's faultless vocals resonating the catchy signature SSS melodies.

I HEART SSS
Our essential supplies for the day...

sarong (cant run away from being malaysian...who needs an itchy hot travel rug when u can have a lovely soft beach sarong from Lumut!)

Backpack holding wetwipes, hand sanitiser, tissues, sunnies, suncream, spare tee, hoodie, lipbalm, laserpen, sweets, chewing gum & some other less healthy supplies
What a perfect day
Giant Jenga!
The alternative 3 Stooges
The crowd going bonkers for homegrown Dizzee Rascal performing BONKERS

EuroTrip 09 in pictures - Part 4 - LOVEBOX Victoria Park Day 2

I'm desperately trynna catch up with my backlog of blog posts... so my eurotrip will continue with pix and one liners!

Day 2 @ LoveBox was taken p pretty much by DJ sets. Diplo rawked the RIZLA Van (the main sponsors for that designated 'enchanted forest' area

The Rizla-DiploVan
check out Diplo's crowd in the enchanted forest... there was a perpetual long line to get into this area throughout his entire set

Joachim was decidedly grumpy looking for the majority of his set... despite which, i enjoyed his playlist tremendously
Simian Mobile Disco (SMD) played trax from their new album 'Temporary Pleasure' - it was nothing short of PUMPING. Highlights of the set were the pyrotechnics which we all 'oooh-ed & aah-ed 'at and welcomed cos we were starting to get rather cold once the sun went down.

ONE ...
TWO ...
WOW ... AAH ... OOH ...
