and across from that sign I couldn't help but giggle when I saw, literally, tube trains that were OVERground... can u spot them?
These chili padi looked out of place in London ;)

A Travelling Angel / Home Sweet Home
Mika looks so grown up in these photos it's hard to believe she's only 28 months... the first installment to my travelling diary of our girlie family summer shenanigans!
Sitting with Por2 on the train & excited about visiting London for the 1st time
Sunny clear blue skies over London Town and the forecast for this week is nothing other than more sunshine. It feels good to be home

Breakfast with Mummy
She was a dream on the flight and when we finally arrived stayed up til 10pm GMT !! I stayed in and watched Glastonbury LIVE on telly (Ellie Goulding, Florence & the Machines, Hot Chip, Phoenix, Gorillaz & Groove Armada) Was VERY tempted by JoycetheFairy & Izan to venture out on my first night in London but resisted. That made me feel old for just a second, then I remembered that London's home - and u never feel like going out on the first night home ;)Sunny clear blue skies over London Town and the forecast for this week is nothing other than more sunshine. Long over due!
Yeah I realise I haven't blogged for awhile and it's not cos I have nothing to blog about, in fact I have LOADS to tell u... but I've been up to me eyeballs - almost literally...
About to head off on my summer Eurotrip (yes I do realise I am a lucky devil, but I do feel I deserve it!) and although I haven't mixed for ages I thought it only suitable I put together a lil mixtape for you all. Incidently the mix tape includes a new track (unfinished) I've done with the boys behind Zouk's new Saturday night, LOUD - Goldfish & Blink - and we reckon it's a BIG ROOM STOMPER. It's called Take You There.
I will continue to update you on my escapades whilst away (as well as the backlog of blog subjects too)
But for now, just click on the GIANT text in blue to download, as I wish you a fab few weeks with the soundtrack provided by these...

I Am Living Proof
Recently I posted the music video and imagery for ACAPELLA, 1st single off Kelis' newly released Fourth studio album, FLESH TONE. (she was signed up by Will I. Am)
I LOVE THIS ALBUM
With ACAPELLA being my favourite track, the next in line is 4TH OF JULY, and it also happens to be her 2nd single. Check out yet another great music video.
A stand out lyric in this new single is : 'I am living proof' which sounded SO familiar to me... Then I remembered on her last album KELIS WAS HERE (yes, I am a huge fan of her's!), she had a track called 'Living Proof' in which she had the same lyric
Hey, if it works what's wrong with repeating it right?
I'm loving that line - as we are living proof of all we have experienced
And I'm lovin' the new video
I can't wait to shoot music videos for songs off the new album...

The Promise
I am a HUGE Bjork fan and "Unison" off her "Verspertine" album inspired this song of mine...
Lyrically, in terms of construction it is a little more abstract. The asymmetry of the verse melody line lends itself to being more abstract too.
This exercise has given me a completely new insight to song writing which I look forward to exploring more.

THE PROMISE
I cannot be all that you want of me
It isn't as easy as 1,2,3
I can't promise to be the change
Exactly all of your dreams you will see in me
I'll always give what you ask me for
We can work it out this time
We will make 'each other', 'mine'
'We', the poetry that rhymes
Love will see us through this time
Love sensibly and you will never feel
This burning insecurity
We can promise to be ourselves honestly
And to fulfill all our needs gracefully
I'll always give what you ask me for
We can work it out this time
We will make 'each other', 'mine'
'We', the poetry that rhymes
Love will see us through this time

How to live in a eco-friendly & efficient space! This is inspiring
I really should not complain about not having enough space for everything that I have. Watch this guy really makes me feel like those people with severe disorders that the Bio Channel features every Thursday night.
Yes I think I may be a ....

Gaga over Gaga
My twitter account has been over-run with the countdown to the latest youtube music video installment... and THANK GODDNESS, the video has finally been released.
Lady Gaga's latest music video for 'Alejandro'is yet another wild & whacky (if not potentially controversial) installment to her collection of what I like to term as commercial art-house mini movies.
The opening scene instantaneously gives me the feeling of a Nazi concentration camp, which is only strengthened by the appearance of what could easily be interpreted as the Star of David as well as several Catholic symbolism
You will see references to Madonna's music videos of the 90s from her massive compilation 'The Immaculate collection' -
Eg. The 'Vogue-esque' conical Jean-Paul Gaultier conical bra-tops (recently seen on Sue Sylvester of GLEE!)
2.
It is 6.30am and I am about to go on a run so excuse any 'extreme'-like opnions I may have of it at this time!
It is directed by Steven Klein, styled by Nicola Formichetti with fashion contributions (many of which custom-made for Gaga) from :
Emporio Armani, the late Alexander McQueen, Calvin Klein, Christian Louboutin, Philip Treacy, Agent Povocateur, Dolce & Gabbana, Hussein Chalayan, Versace and Lady Gaga's own label Haus of Gaga.

Kylie "Aphrodite" mixtape leak - Album due July 2, 2010
Kylie Minogue - Aphrodite (Album Minimix) by sheenabeaston
Hhhhmm - still undecided on this despite her working with great commercially successful writers and producers like Stuart Price & Calvin Harris...

The Eagle has landed - the iPhone 4 is unveiled
* 8 NEW reasons to get iPhone 4 *
1. An all new design
The funniest part about Steve Jobs' unveiling yesterday? He mentioned the first reason for getting the iPhone 4 being its all new design and went on to say :
"Stop me if you've seen it..." (of course referring to the internet leak of photos due to a prototype being left behind at a bar), at which point the entire arena burst into laughter
And then cleverly went on to say...
"Believe me... you aint seen it... you've gotta see this thing in person... it is one of the most beautiful designs you've ever seen"
"The precision of which this is made is beyond any consumer product you've ever seen... like a beautiful old Leica camera... and it's really thin... the thinnest smartphone on the planet."
That was enough for me... I don't need to know the other 7 reasons to get the new iPhone ! (multitasking, video phone enabled (known as facetime), 25% thinner, 4 x more pixels on its screen etc etc blah blah blah)
ANd what are those 3 crevices / lines you see along the casing breaking the otherwise seamless design?? It is of course the built in antennae - waaaaaaah SOOOOOO clever
I don't even know when it's coming out, I just know I gotta get my grimey paws on one when it does. Can't wait.
And yes, I am a self-confessing sucker for anything Steve Jobs & Apple related... Video phoning has been around for years and Apple has the audacity to keep us waiting for its availability on the iphone for 4 phone generations...or maybe it's called genius.

'Facetime' (Video phone feature)
The hardest part for me is gonna be deciding which colour to get... although I do think an all steel version like the very first iphone would be interesting too as an option.ANd what are those 3 crevices / lines you see along the casing breaking the otherwise seamless design?? Aids Aware Campaign Photoshoot
I was very proud to be invited to be part of a campaign to increase AIDS AWARENESS in Malaysia.
A bunch of us were invited to do a shoot, in which we had to hold up statements relating to this disease that threatens our very existence on this beautiful planet of our's. We could either choose from a selection of statements or come up with our own. With the help of Mum and my Sis, I came up with something 'original' so to speak.
This is part of Ruumz Causes and their aim for AIDS AWARE in conjunction with the PT Foundation, is to collect 13,000 messages (all relating to AIDS) on their website in remembrance of the 13,000 lives that have been lost to AIDS here in Malaysia. All this by December this year.
Many celebrities contributed their time and messages including activist Marina Mahathir, Tv Host & Globe-trekker Asha Gill, DJ Joey G, blogger Niki Cheong, TV Hosts Xandria Ooi & Hansen Lee and super model Danielle Graham - to name but a few!
Photos were taken by Simon Chin of famed Studio Pashe with make-up sponsored by M.A.C.
