The first thing that struck me about Japan and the Japanese culture is the detailed organisation and efficiency of everything... Considering this is my first trip to Japan I havent really had much time to get very excited about it 'cos I've been so busy in the build up to the holiday season.
But the day finally arrived and this is one of the first images that grabbed me... Vending machines are always such boring, dreary unexciting contraptions that seldom inspire one's food or thirst cravings - NOT IN JAPAN
After a 13hour journey from KL, we finally reached a Winter Wonderland...
1st drink in Niseco was not Sake but a deliciously evil hot chocolate After shopping for essentials and settling in our accommodation, a cosy family meal together I couldn't wait to finally sleep in a BED. Yes. It IS true - everything in Japan IS compact... our apartment is cosy, the rooms snug and the beds.... Suffice to say my single bed could cause a person who has active dreams or 'over-turns' in their sleep.... I haven't slept in a bed so narrow since my boarding school dormitory!

Fierce Angel have had a really busy 2009, from entertaining crowds all over the UK as well as world wide including a very successful summer in Ibiza with a weekly Friday party at El Divino!!

What a completely chaotic year of ups and downs it’s been! On the up side we had an unbelievable season at El Divino in Ibiza, and we took Fierce Angel events across the globe and back again! We have expanded the radio show and had a couple of massive club chart hits with our artist projects…..2009 has been a manic year for Fierce!
On the down side we made the difficult decision not to release Beach Angel and Es Vive this year. We left it until November to come back bigger and better and we hope it hasn’t been too long a wait!...and if it has, we are sure it will be worthwhile!
The idea behind “The Collection” is to give you a selection of the year’s biggest Fierce favourites, that have rocked many a dance floor all over the world.
Each of the tracks have been tried and tested on many a dance floor across the globe, and form the basis of the Fierce Angel sound. Massive vocals, and terrific hooks….great big hands in the air, feel good tunes! (we like to go for the goose bump factor!)
So here it is “The Collection,” you’ll find this release is an unashamedly commercial selection with only the biggest anthems packed onto the CD (or digital download).
It’s a decidedly disco selection on CD1 starting with Melissa Indot’s “Starlight:” followed by the Sister Sledge sampling “Take My Love.” Next up it’s the Fierce Angel Collective, this new project is a combination of all our best friends from the world of Fierce. We’ll be producing lots of tracks that will be exclusive to Fierce Angel albums. First off the blocks is a classic disco cover, “You Know How To Love Me” featuring the amazing Soraya Vivian with production duties from the Bassmonkeys. Moving on there’s new tracks from Solitaire, The Bassmonkeys plus huge club anthems from Anton Powers, Rossko and Joey Negro. Hott 22’s “Conversation” takes the pace up a bit higher and Ultravibe and Locksmiths keep the party going. We finish with a new Fierce Angel anthem “If You Could Read My Mind,.” It features unbelievable vocal from Soraya and production duties from no other than the mighty Degrees Of Motion!!!
If CD1 was decidedly disco, CD2 camps it up even further with some hi energy house anthems. We begin the selection with Hott22’s rework of the classic “Wicked Game”: and follow it with one of the summers biggest anthems “Heartbreak” Next up with it’s the massive Digital Dog mix of “Forgiveness” and Mr DYF with “Hold On.” A new name to Fierce Angel is Elin Lanto, her track “Discotheque” has been storming across the music channels. Another essential track from the summer was “Release Me” from Agnes and.we put our tongue firmly in our cheek Shanie’s “Piano In The Dark” we imagine we’ll get a few comments about this one but we love it! We finish up with the Wideboys on the mix of “Neon Lights,” a new track from Verde “If Only You” and go full hands in the air for Wheels And Disco “Sun Shine Down.”
CD3 provides a bit more late night action and begins with Priors, “What You Need.” There’s a stunning remix by Haji & Emanuel of Carolina Liar’s “Show Me What I’m Looking For.” and the hits follow swiftly on from Pegasus, Ian Carey and ultra cool Little Boots. Next it’s K-Klass with their version of “Finally,” this track has been causing a storm wherever it’s played. Brad Hed reworks the classic “Real Life” and then finally after waiting nearly two years we get the chance to include the simply fantastic “Thou Shalt Not Kill” by Dan Le Sac and Scroobius Pip. Big thanks to Ministry for allowing us an completely exclusive Stonebridge re-edit of “Hold On” and equal thanks to Newstate for the epic Kaskade mix of Paul Van Dyke’s “Home.” The Fierce Collective reappear to close the CD with Peyton and The Bassmonkeys rocking out their version of “Sex On Fire.”
So that’s it .. 2009 has flown by giving us some amazing parties, and stunning music, we hope you enjoy “The Collection” as much as we have enjoyed making it. A massive thank you for all your support, and we’ll be heading towards ever-greater things next year. You can expect some new artist material and a full schedule of CD releases. Probably one of the most talked about new venues & events in KL, Rootz had its Opening Party last week and one an EPIC night it was indeed.
Located in the area that used to be the carpark on the rooftop of Lot10, the view of the beautiful KL skyline by night, from the luscious garden that resides beyond Rootz is simply breath-taking. Talk about putting KL on the world map for night spots!
Doing an interview for YTL TV! The soundtrack for the night began with favourite classic hip hop beatz and toonz playlisted by non other than DJ Cza with Joe Flizzow working the microphone.
With the Boyz I then took over the decks ... Hhhhmmmm - looking ever so serious innit *damn my headphones look nice!* The packed room were more than enthusiastic and definitely up to party til the wee hours of morning... I felt it was time to take things up a notch...
First with the floor-filling FADE And then with my signature song - STARLIGHT
"Yeah, yeah yeeeeee-aaaah..." If only I knew how to put in words the feeling I get when I'm performing and I see a packed dance-floor in front of me with everyone singing along... *warm&fuzzy* (BTW that's my hand at the bottom right hand corner of the pick!) With my adrenaline on over drive it was time to shed the jacket - A lil tweak here and twiddle there... as I mixed in my last track, UK Celebrity DJ Sam Young was waiting to take over... Time for a quick pic with Sam (in the middle) All in all an awesome night - stunning location, beautiful venue (whites, gold and red; and you HAVE to check out the washrooms for the eye-buffet!)
Hung outwith good buddy Joyce (Kinky Blue Fairy's Coverage here) With my Sister & Manager and my DeeJay 'Si-fu' / teacher And last but by no means least my favourite pic of the night - with Mum & Dad. Yup they were there too - unwaivering with their support and ever popular with people of all age groups. Dad always impeccably dressed and Mum never less than glamorous. I was particularly happy with my glad-rags for the night and that was thanks to the help of friend, fashionista and blogger Andrea Joan - you MUST check out her new line of hair accessories that are all designed and hand-made by her. Envie Lounge (which is the one on the corner as you approach the row of nightspots on Changkat) finally had its official Opening party despite being open now for a few months. The place has most certainly built a HUGE following that take their partying VERY seriously

As i don't really like wearing make-up, I am extremely fussy about what make-up I do use. I'm not particularly good at applying it myself but despite that (and years of instruction from my big sis) I have had some friends complement my application of make-up. I'm not one for trying to products especially since make-up is not one of my favourite things in life BUT i feel compelled to share with you a product new to me:

This doesn't mean I've given up on my darling YSL, it just means I now have a more affordable option at at nearly 50% of the cost!
I generally don't like waterproof mascara's as I find them impossible to remove. Well guess what... u can get the eye make-up remover by Rimmel London to take care of that problem! It does exactly what it says on the bottle. Check out more of their products here
Most discerning make-up wearing women (& men) will find that most 'waterproof' mascaras DO smudge - I have found that this particular product does NOT.
It's got a serious (if not scary-looking) brush that has 1 layer to curl & separate ur lashes, with another layer solely responsible for creating more volume... well that's what I've been told, but frankly speaking it's just really nice to apply, gives long-lasting wear, comes in a pretty purple package and makes my eyes look LUVERLY :)
At under RM40 - it's a bargain - and you can get it at Watson's
Added Bonus? You can go around bragging that u use the same mascara as Kate Moss
